She kind of didn't want to eat it because it was so cute, was, cause it's gone!
Abby's school year is ending. (She is a 1st grader as she keeps reminding me!) and a lot of other things have come to a close, at least for the summer. One part of our life that has ended are stroller walks to school in the morning. The stroller is on it's last wheels, and she is getting big! I enjoyed walking her to school everyday.
Tonight was a year-end school dance party. Abby couldn't have had a better night. At the party she got to dance, and let me tell you what, DJ Marc was digging her cause she tore up the dance floor. She got to eat snacks, including a cherry Italian soda and popcorn, she played with her friends inside and outside, we got our picture taken together, she had put all of her tickets in a raffle to win a cute puppy, but she didn;t win, but her friend did and gave her the puppy, and to top the night off she got to sing Let It Go (from Frozen). She had an awesome night.
And this brings another change, to this journal. She is actually writing and illustrating her own books (a post with a whole lot of photos i haven't been able to do yet), and she can start journaling, or blogging.. We already record events, in a one word form, on a cat yoga calendar. (The perfect calendar as I do yoga and we both love cats). There are problems I have to figure out with trying to do this, but it's on my to-do list, getting her started writing her own life events, rather than from my perspective.
Before the dance party, we went to her final dress rehearsal for dance, which will be ending for the summer. Kid's Rock will also adjourn for the summer. It is a kid's religious program at an Evangelist church. Abby is a believer of God and Jesus, which is not surprising considering she has gone to church with her dad, St. Paul's Preschool, and the Baptist Mission. The female pastor who gives a kind of sermon or presentation with a moral theme at Kid's Rock has an interesting voice. The way she speaks is soothing, with a slightly odd tone, but I could listen to her for hours.
