This is St. Peter's Head, or Bunker Hill, in Chiniak.

In case you did not know, Alaska was the backdoor so to speak for possible invasion of US mainland. After Pearl Harbor, defenses in Alaska were increased dramatically. Kodiak did not see any "action", unlike Kiska, Attu, and Dutch Harbor, but for a brief period of time Fort Greely served as the Alaska Defense Command Headquarters. Remains from WWII dot the Kodiak road system.

Ready Ammunition. Looks way different in the sun. I was there in the rain, and it was much darker.

"I died here", that was Tim's btw, from like a decade ago.

Plotting and spotting bunker. Gas proof. So they could calculate without dying.

 Gas-proofing material around door

I like the switchboard rooms, they got the crazy holes on the floor with really creepy stagnant, and what seems to be indeterminately deep water.

original handwriting.

Shut off vent for gas proofing. Nice wood trim.
