regular vs. monster
Abby still prefers the red salmonberry. I like the Russian.
I have tried two batches of salmonberry watermelon jelly, a combination perhaps not as stellar as last year's blue ribbon peach rhubarb, but, I think it will have its merits. I am used to making jam, so I am not used to the whole pectin deal. The first batch is ok, the second ruined with practical PTSD because of the pectin. I think the next batch will turn out well. After that I give up! Time to move on to blue and red berries.
