 Summer begins

We went and looked at the big boats in Dog Bay. At our house, we have the Pillar Mountain effect, where the sun sets behind the mountain hours earlier than it does if you are just a half-ish mile in any direction. If we want to catch some "late" sun (after 8:30pm) then we can go over there or to our secret sunny spot near Abercrombie.

School ended for Abby. She completed Kindergarten, and is now in 1st grade. I walked Abby to school about 75% of the time, if not more. These are some of the views along the way, although I took these on our last walk to school during our season of light, and sunny at that. Most of our stroller rides were in the dark cold!! Luckily we didn't have snow and I pushed her in the stroller unless it was below like 22 degrees (she was comfy warm with blankets and a plastic stroller cover if necessary). I can't push her anymore, and I'm not sure if she'll want to walk, no, she will not want to walk. So morning walks may be over. I enjoyed that time with her. It was a good start to our day.

I avoid slugs. I do not run them over! They are so cute.
