Unalaska

Grand Aleutian reminded me of the Grand Budapest Hotel

camouflage scaffolding put over panama mounts

Not as much "clean up" done in Unalaska. The sites are harder to explore because they are dug in. You have to crawl down and there is still lots of glass and sharp stuff, so really no one has bothered of the collapsed Quonsets in particular.

Jap bomb craters from June 1942

dikes

 pussy willows

lots left unexplored

would have liked to have stayed longer. a few years would have been nice
