Oh, Marnie, I remember this day so well, also. I also remember the ones from 1977, on-it was our tradition. I always took you to the pumpkin patch and farm market in Ridgeville (doesn't exist now, sadly.) Then we went to the Golden Lamb. Your birthday , October 25th, was always within a week and it was part of your birthday celebration (which always lasted a week for sure). I really remember the one in 1978, as i have a photo(i hoped i found it when we moved, and think i have it safe somewhere. You have on a red hat i knitted (before I stopped for all those years)and a blue sweater. You were hardly as big as the pumpkins! Even as a tiny girl, you loved the Golden Lamb. In 1981, we had gotten the house at 320 Park that June and were working on it. You were about to turn five and were so tall. You are always so beautiful.
We continued the tradition for so long. Remember the time we went with the Turner's in 1993- we have the photo of you by the Belgian draft horse. it was raining. This day in 1981, it was sunny, lightly cloudy and such a wonderful autumn day. Autumn is your special time.
